Rob has a nationwide practice focusing on the acquisition, disposition, financing and leasing of commercial real estate. Rob has represented national retailers and developers, REITs and other real estate syndicators and has significant property development and Section 1031 exchange experience.

Representative Experience & Transactions

  • Lead outside real estate counsel for national entertainment company handling 50+ dispositions as well as negotiating ground leases and other property development-related agreements
  • Numerous successful closings, with associated CMBS & non-CMBS financings, of office building, shopping center and apartment complex acquisitions throughout the United States
  • Representations of developers in acquisition and development of drugstores & convenience stores
  • Negotiation and drafting of multi-party property use and development, property management, utility & construction contracts
  • Completion of several sale-leaseback transactions for both sellers and buyers, including $100 million sale-leaseback transaction involving multiple automobile dealerships
  • Negotiation and drafting of loan documents for $86 million construction loan & $22 million mezzanine loan
  • Completion of multiple CMBS & non-CMBS loan assumptions & defeasances
  • Negotiation and drafting of office, medical, retail and industrial leases (space leases & ground leases)
  • Representation of lenders in negotiation and drafting of loan agreements, deeds of trust, guaranties and other financing documents and due diligence reviews of real estate
  • Negotiation and drafting of joint venture documents for real estate acquisitions
